BERNARD PHILLIPS
- Artist Northern Beaches
Born in the countryside of England post war in 1948, I moved to Australia in 1970. Having travelled extensively around Australia, mostly in the remote outback, I settled for the last 20 years in Terrey Hills on the Northern Beaches, where we are surrounded by National Parks. This location suits me as I have always loved the bush. I discovered by accident in 2011 that I can paint. I get my inspiration from memories and photos of the Outback and the local National Parks. So if I’m not in the Outback or the walking tracks around Terrey Hills, I’m taken to those places when I’m painting.
Every year my paintings have been accepted in the Royal Easter Show - where all have sold.
